Greetings, Yellow Brick Road Warriors — we've officially hit the ground running for The O.Z.'s second campaign, and we couldn't be more grateful for all your support!
Thanks to the incredible passion and dedication of our fanbase, we've enlisted over 400 readers and nearly $16,000 to embark on another adventure in the war-torn land of Oz!
And because we believe our Emerald Army deserves only the best comics we can give them, we will be celebrating this milestone with new-and-improved upgrades for The O.Z. #2, with additional artwork and enhancements to Ruben Rojas' main cover.
We've said before that The O.Z. wouldn't exist without the immense generosity and excitement of our readership — you are truly the best fans in comics, and we're so excited to show you what other exciting stretch goals we have in store.

In case you haven't heard me shouting it from the rooftops, we're thrilled to be launching the Kickstarter for The O.Z. #1-2, kicking off this Monday, August 16 — and before we got the ball rolling on everything, we wanted to give our Emerald Army their marching orders and answer some frequently asked questions!

THE FIRST TWO DAYS ARE CRITICAL
We want to get The O.Z. in front of as many readers as possible, so the first 48 hours of our campaign critical — we will be placed in Kickstarter's algorithm based on how many backers we get in our first two days. ANY dollar amount counts — we'll be offering special early bird discount tiers in the first two days to make it worth your while to sign up early! (And feel free to also share the Kickstarter link on social media, and to any friends or family you think might be interested in our series!)

YOU ARE NOT CHARGED UNTIL THE CAMPAIGN ENDS
During our last campaign, we heard from several backers that they had to wait to back the campaign until payday or rent — to clarify, your credit card will NOT be charged until the Kickstarter campaign ends on Wednesday, September 15. So if you see a reward that you're interested in, feel free to pledge early!

MISSED THE O.Z.'S LAST KICKSTARTER? WE'LL CATCH YOU UP
We are dedicated to making sure The O.Z. remains accessible to everyone — so if you missed our first campaign, we will have print AND digital catchup tiers for both issues, including a 48-hour early bird discount for print copies of Issues #1 and #2! Additionally, if you're a collector, we will also be offering reward tiers with all FIVE covers from Issue #1 plus all FOUR covers from Issue #2!

CAN I BUY ANY INDIVIDUAL ITEMS/STRETCH GOALS OUTSIDE OF A BUNDLED SET?
If you've already purchased books like Spencer & Locke, Spencer & Locke 2, and Going to the Chapel, we will also be allowing backers to purchase add-on items via BackerKit after the campaign ends, including the trade paperback collections for Scout's Honor and the Nightmare Theater Horror Anthology, as well as our Flying Monkey Squadron stickers and enamel pins from our previous campaign. Any future stretch goals we hit during the campaign will also be available as an add-on purchase via BackerKit.

WILL THE O.Z. BE RELEASED THROUGH A PUBLISHER LATER? WHAT ABOUT A TRADE COLLECTION?
We have no current plans at this time to release The O.Z. through any outside publishers — the Kickstarter community believed in our series, and we are committed to honoring that trust and releasing the entire series through that platform before we would consider any other avenues. As far as a collected edition, that's a decision we haven't made yet, but will revisit once the series is fully produced. But if you're waiting for the trade or a Direct Market release, you... might be waiting for awhile. ;-)

We're pleased to report that we're gearing up for The O.Z.'s next Kickstarter campaign, scheduled to launch on Monday, August 16!
If you haven't signed up for the new Kickstarter's prelaunch page, you can do so here, and Kickstarter will alert you as soon as our project has gone live.

We're hard at work getting ready ahead of our second Kickstarter campaign, and as such, we wanted to send everyone a prelaunch link ahead of time — this link will alert you the moment our campaign launches, and will get you on the ground floor for discounted early bird specials!
As we cross our tees, dot our eyes, and finalize some very really fun covers to incorporate into the mix, we're aiming for an August launch for our second campaign — with some really exciting stuff in the works, we want to make sure we take the time necessary to do this Kickstarter right.
